The mobile concrete batching plant is easy to load, assemble, and dismantle. It increases working efficiency and saves labor costs and time. Such type of concrete batching plant is suitable for large scale to medium-scale construction projects.
Usually, a concrete mobile batching plant consists of five main parts. These are the mixing unit, conveying system, weighing unit, storage unit, and control panel. The following discussion shows details of their working methods.
Depending on the mixing method, this unit is divided into two parts. These are:
● A forced mixer
● A self-dripping mixer
The forced mixer can mix concrete of different varieties; fluid, semi-dry, and dry. Such types of mixers are common in all mixing stations.
The self-dripping mixer stirs mainly the fluidity concrete. It is a bit rare in mixing stations, thus narrowing its use.
The material conveying system can be divided into three broader categories. These are:
● Aggregate Delivery System
● Powder Delivery System
● Liquid Delivery System
The aggregate delivery system comprises of two methods. These are hopper transportation and belt transportation system, respectively. Aggregate hopper enables you to deliver the material within a small space. Belt transportation is suitable for covering a considerable distance with high efficiency.
To increase operational safety and reduce cost, the powder delivery system came into being. It mainly screws conveyor conveying of powder materials. These comprise materials like cement, fly ash, and mineral powder.
Water pumps make up the liquid delivery system to deliver water and other liquid materials.
The concrete weighing unit is a key element that directly affects your construction cost and time. Besides, the mixing quality is highly dependant on the efficiency of this system.
The weighing system comprises of three units like the conveying unit. These are the powder weighing, aggregate weighing, and liquid weighing system.
The finished products need to be stored in cement silos for further use. Aggregates can be stacked in open or closed silos. Completely closed steel silos are suitable for powder materials. Steel containers store admixtures.
The control panel is the heart of a mobile concrete batching plant. The functions and compounding depend on user specifications and requirements. It contains separate indicators for aggregates, additives, and water.
The panel is usually arranged at the bottom of the chassis. The control room works as a support point when the batching plant operates entirely.
